My son Matthew spent his first night in a big bed last night. It went quite well, although it took a while to get him to sleep, and by the end of the night he was lying the wrong way down the bed on his face. Unforunately the bed rail that I have ordered hasn't come yet so we have just put the bed next to the sofa. I was just walking through the hall when I heard him testing the stair gate at the top of the stairs, so I went up and tucked him back in. Here is a picture of me and Matthew.
However, on my way back down I didn't shut the upper stair gate again and so 5 minutes later he was waving at Mandy from the lower stair gate. He had managed to climb down our spiral stair case. Luckily he didn't fall or anything, but I must remember to shut stair gates!
